Overview of Population Statics
Generally for each country national growth is expressed in percentage which is in between 0.1% to 0.3% annually. There are two different words that are associated with population and that are overall growth and natural growth. The birth and death ratio in country population data is represented by natural growth and doesn’t take into account migration but the overall growth takes it in account.
Let’s take an example of it for better understanding the overall growth of Canada is 0.9% while its natural growth is 0.3% it is because of Canada’s open immigration policy. Talking about US its natural growth rate is 0.6% and overall growth rate is 0.9%. This growth rate of country gives geographers and demographers for current growth and helps to compare between countries and other regions.
If we talk about the world’s current growth rate which includes both over all and natural growth it is about 1.14%who’s doubling time is of 61 years, so by this if the current growth continues we can calculate the world’s population which is of 6.5 billion will become 13 billion in 2067. The population statistics is very high in African and Asian countries.
The current growth rate of Afghanistan is 4.8% which doubles in 14.5 years and if the its growth rate remain same then the population of 30 million will become 60 million in the year 2020 and keep on increasing in 2049 it become 280 million and 1.12 billion in 2078 this expectation is ridiculous. For short term projections population growth rates are better utilized and it is well known.
Problem for country increases when the population statistics increases it results in increase requirement for food, service and infrastructure. Today these expenses are less in those countries whose growth is high. For every country population data is essential to measure the future aspects so that previously precautions are taken.
